Task 2 – Research

Carry out research into examples of 3D animation and motion graphics, particularly stings. In addition, create mood boards that explore the branding of the radio station and college thematically – music, film, sport, fashion, social media etc. In addition, look at the branding of similar college stations and larger competitors. Cite any sources you have used in your research, both written and visual.

Remember that you are trying to generate thoroughly thought through ideas for 3D animation showing creativity and flair and working independently to professional expectations.

Capital FM

Capital FM is a radio station being broadcast on radio devices and can be found in between the conferences 95-160, The logo was created in 2011. Before the radio was called galaxy FM. Galaxy FM was launched in 1990 in a south west England broadcasting from studios in Portland Square.

Capital FM (2012)
In 2012 capital FM released this advert. It holds colorful features and pop stars to present the radio. With each pop start the background and mood changes making the color seem and the pop star stand out in the trailer.

Capital FM (2013)

The 2013 trailer of capital FM is like the first trailer but in black and white. the Trailer still contains pop stars but have taken away the colors and light.
